5 Things You Can’t Miss Near Las Vegas

Next time you’re in Las Vegas don’t spend all of your time doing the same old things – gambling and drinking, or whatever else it is other people get up to there! When I go to Vegas, I like to think I do it right!

Let me share 5 things that I love around Las Vegas that you’ve probably never heard of before!

  1. 7 Magic Mountains:

This art exhibit is only about 20 minutes from the Vegas strip and is definitely more than worth the visit. There are 7 towers made up of brightly painted boulders weighing up to 40,000 pounds each!

  1. Container Park:

This is an area near “Old Vegas” that’s really unique! It’s basically a shopping area made up of old refurbished shipping containers…and there are also shows and events held here (I saw the Nutcracker…for free!).

  1. Farimont Street:

This is the area known as “Old Vegas” and honestly I don’t know if I’ll bother with the main strip after visiting here! The entire ceiling is a light show and there are casinos, restaurants and shops all located in this weather proof strip!

4. Explore Valley of Fire State Park:

This park is just under an hourĀ from Las Vegas and you could easily spend an entire day exploring the different areas and trails in this park. It really looks like the rocks could be on fire at certain times of day and is totally worth the drive from the strip!

5. Ziplining from Slotzilla:

Slotzilla is the world’s largest slot machine and you can zipline from the top of it! It’s not even that expensive and definitely adds to the Vegas experience!
